Today I’m sharing Connor and Fiona’s bright and colorful Ladybird Wildflower Center Wedding. Connor and Fiona met in California at Stanford and soon they’ll be Dr. and Dr. McClellan – double Ph.D. couple! They first met in a grocery store where Fiona was trying to buy wine for a party but had forgotten her ID and Connor stepped in to help her out. But they didn’t see each other again until their paths crossed through mutual friends. They hit it off and have been inseparable ever since.

This double PhD couple tied the knot at the Ladybird Wildflower Center in our beloved Austin, Texas.
Former first lady, Ladybird Johnson, founded The Ladybird Wildflower Center was in 1982. Their mission is to inspire the conservation of native plants through sustainable gardens, education, and research. Not only is this venue a gorgeous setting for a wedding, but it’s also doing a lot of wonderful things for Texas.
The wedding day was full of bright colorful flowers and happy details. I love how they chose a style that so perfectly complemented the location. How lovely are those warm, cheery florals against the pale blue bridesmaid dresses? The floral designs by Visual Lyrics were just gorgeous. Summer perfection!
We also just have to mention how wonderful and relaxed both Connor and Fiona were in front of the camera. Focus on each other and celebrate the fact that you just got married! Then we can simply capture the magic.
Lastly, special recognition deserves to be made to both the coordinator of the day, Kristin Catter Events, and the wonderful emcee, ATX DJ. It was an intimate, relaxed wedding full of love and we savored every moment!
