Anna and Matt met through friends of friends who played soccer and volleyball together. It was actually Matt’s dog, Bentley, that Anna noticed first. It took several nights of hanging out with friends and Matt making a SIX HOUR drive to Dallas to take Anna on a real date when she was traveling for work for things to really click. That’s some commitment!
The Greenhouse at Driftwood – Color and Cacti
Anna and Matt wanted an outdoor wedding in November where they could be surrounded by live oak trees and cacti so they set a date and booked The Greenhouse in Driftwood, a gorgeous natural setting in Texas Hill Country with a killer conservatory attached to the main house.
The day started off gray, chilly, and wet – not exactly dreamy wedding weather. Because of the forecast, they worried that their plan to get married under the giant native oak tree would have to be scrapped in favor of something a little more warm and dry. But Mother Nature made some serious magic at the last minute and blessed the couple with the PERFECT outdoor wedding weather.
The couple was enveloped in the most beautiful golden hour light during the ceremony, highlighting Anna’s signature orange and blue hues. Anna and Matt exchanged vows under the setting sun and then invited their guests to enjoy a cocktail hour before gathering under a picturesque white tent. From the monogramed napkins to the custom florals, the reception space was absolutely gorgeous. After a plated dinner, Anna and Matt treated their friends and family to custom cocktails and (REALLY CUTE) bite-sized cacti cakes.
Austin’s own Matchmaker Band filled the tent with music and Anna and Matt hit the dance floor hard! When everyone was all danced out (and finally finished off the cacti cakes), Anna and Matt made a stylish exit under a sparkler tunnel and hopped into a vintage orange Ford Bronco to make their getaway.
Congratulations, Anna and Matt – wishing you, Bentley, and Goldie Girl an amazing happily ever after!
