Erin + Andy | Prospect House, Austin
I knew from the first moment I met them that Erin and Andy would be amazing. We had Skyped in from different continents to talk about their story and wedding plans. They were warm and laid back but definitely had a vision for their wedding day. I learned that their story started 7 years ago when a toppling game of Jenga brought them together with the help of friends. (Well, that and some well-timed movie lines according to Andy). Both out with their own friends, Andy gave Erin his business card before leaving with his group. They’ve been inseparable ever since! Then in 2015 they moved to Australia in together with plans to stay for 2 years. But we all know how plans work out (don’t we?) and 2 years turned into 4 years and counting. However, when it came to exchanging their vows, Erin and Andy had decided to come back to Austin – back to where their story started – for a meaningful ceremony surrounded by family and friends. I remember Andy telling me when they hired me a few days after that Skype call that they loved my work but also that they felt like they would enjoy hanging out with me for the day. That’s one of the best compliments I’ve ever received!
When their wedding day finally arrived, everyone came together at Prospect House in Dripping Springs to support these two wonderful people and even though the day was chilly and rainy, the warmth of this day shines through. We got to go out long enough to get some gorgeous portraits and then danced the evening away until it was time for some glow-stick exit fun!
Erin and Andy, thank you from the bottom of my heart for including trusting me on your wedding day. I’m thrilled to be able to share these beautiful moments with you and your family. To say that I wish you the best in love and life is an understatement said only because I lack the words to accurately express my joy and hope for the life that you two will share.
